Located in Erbusco, Franciacorta, on a splendid hill overlooking Lake Iseo and the Alps, the Bellavista winery has been owned by the Moretti family since 1977, when it was founded by Vittorio Moretti. The company covers over 200 hectares of vineyards, where the main grape varieties are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, for the production of its elegant and prestigious sparkling wines. Saten is the winery's smoothest and softest cuvée, produced exclusively with Chardonnay grapes from hillside vines averaging over 30 years old. After manual harvesting and vinification, the wine remains on the lees for at least four years. Production is limited and reserved only for the finest vintages. In the glass, Bellavista Franciacorta Saten reveals a brilliant, luminous straw-yellow color and a persistent and extremely fine perlage. On the nose, its aromatic profile opens with notes of rose petals and white flowers, followed by hints of ripe citrus and a few touches of hazelnut. On the palate, it has a creamy and velvety texture. It is round and fresh, balanced and elegant, with a long, ample finish that recalls hints of ripe fruit. Try it with deep fried appetizers, prawn tempura or lobster.
