About BottlePicker

BottlePicker compares drinks prices from shops in 21 country sections.

Country separation

Each country has its own shops, language and currency. Prices in other currencies are excluded. Germany and Ireland can publish useful pages from one active local feed following review; empty pages stay out of search indexes. Other new country sections need 500 current local-currency products from 2 active retailer feeds before indexing.

Merchant tracking status

We hold 104 shop profiles across 21 countries. Of those, 53 are marked as active feeds and 51 are configured or paused. A profile may describe a shop’s product range, delivery area and age requirements without contributing any current prices.

Collection methods

Prices come from retailer product feeds, product pages and approved shopping-data services. We record collection dates and failed updates. Older offers remain available as history; current totals use in-stock listings in the country’s own currency.

Product scope

The catalogue covers wine, whisky and whiskey, gin, rum, vodka, tequila, mezcal, brandy, cognac, liqueurs, aperitifs, beer, cider, perry, mead, sake and ready-to-drink cocktails. Where we can identify them reliably, non-alcoholic drinks, mixers, accessories, events and gift-only products are excluded from drink listings.

Tracked and live results

There are 23,039 products with tracked stock and 15,551 current shop listings. Live shopping results appear separately when requested. They do not change saved history, catalogue totals, feed status or structured product offers.

Vineyard and producer data

We hold 12 vineyard or named-parcel records backed by 12 source records. Depending on the source, a page can describe location, boundaries, soil, terrain, grapes, planting and farming. Missing details stay missing. A shared producer or regional name does not establish where the grapes for a bottle grew.

Prices and product identity

Exact GTIN matching is preferred when a barcode is available. Text fallback uses product name, brand, vintage and container size checks. BottlePicker also compares sufficiently complete wine and spirit records with the LWIN identity dictionary using indexed exact producer or bounded name-prefix lookups; ambiguous matches are rejected rather than guessed. LWIN data is by Liv-ex Ltd. under CC BY 4.0, and BottlePicker adds the matching decision. Pack prices are retained as checkout prices and may also show a calculated per-unit amount. The retailer remains authoritative for identity, pack size, taxes, duties, delivery, stock, legal purchasing requirements and final checkout price.

Dates and updates

BottlePicker launched in July 2026. Collection runs are dated, and each tracked offer shows when we last saw it. Offers that disappear from a feed are marked out of stock and retained as history. Empty country and category pages say that no tracked data is available and stay out of search indexes.

Analytics and privacy

Google Analytics is optional. Its script and measurement requests run only after you choose “Accept analytics”. Your choice is saved on this device and can be changed through “Analytics privacy settings” in the footer. Advertising storage, advertising user data, ad personalisation and Google Signals stay disabled. Search Console verification does not track visitors.

Who runs BottlePicker

BottlePicker is operated by 37x Limited (Guernsey non-cellular company CMP76157) and built and run by Doug Scott, founder of the shopping-comparison company Redbrain. Its registered office is Les Echelons Court, Les Echelons, St. Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 1AR. Product pages place clearly labelled commercial partner links before retailers for which BottlePicker has no confirmed commercial terms. Prices within each section are ordered by calculated per-unit price, and non-commercial listings remain visible for comparison.

Found a wrong price, broken link, mismatched bottle or missing shop? Email hello@bottlepicker.com and reference the page URL. We check reports and correct the source record when a mistake is confirmed.

BottlePicker is for adults who may legally buy alcohol where they live. We compare prices; shops sell and deliver the drinks.
