This stout was created by the owners son (Ben Stone)... you can see how it got named...! Made by combining roasted barley and hops, this lightly hopped stout gives off a coffee aroma with a bitter sweet taste. The range of award winning Spingo ales originate from the brew-pub known as The Blue Anchor in Helston, a few miles from us here. The brewpub is one of the oldest ones in the UK and the thatched building itself dates back to the 15th Century. Considered a mecca for beer aficionados and a right of passage for those coming of drinking age locally.
