Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant. Founded in 1949 by Armand Goutorbe, son of winemakers, Maison Jeeper Champagne owes its name to the Willys Jeep that Armand used to travel through the vineyards. In 2009, the company was acquired by Nicolas Dubois, who, since 2013, has been joined in partnership by Michel Reybier, owner of Château Cos d'Estournel, and, since 2022, by former basketball player Tony Parker. Today, Maison Jeeper produces prestigious Champagnes known and appreciated throughout the world. The wine is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The organic grapes are hand-picked. A small portion of the Chardonnay is aged in oak, and the finished wine rests for at least five years on the lees before disgorgement. In the glass, the Naturelle Extra Brut displays a clear and brilliant golden color enhanced by fine bubbles. Its aromatic profile is broad and elegant, with notes of apple and ripe citrus, floral hints on a background of brioche and bread crust. On the palate, it is intense and concentrated, with a distinctive minerality and a pronounced, refreshing acidity. It is rounded and velvety, with a long finish that recalls notes of ripe fruit. It is excellent as an aperitif, with vegetable tempura and fish and shellfish appetizers.
