Drink it now or cellar for up to 8 years. No need to decant. Located in Piedmont, in the fabulous Langhe terroir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014, the Cordero di Montezemolo winery boasts over six centuries of history. The estate was founded by the Falletti family, who began producing wine commercially in the 19th century. Today, the company, which owns approximately 50 hectares of vineyards, is owned by the Cordero di Montezemolo family. The Arneis grapes come from the estate's vineyards spread across the various towns of La Morra, Alba, Guarene, and Castagnito in the Langhe region. After harvesting and fermenting in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, the finished wine ages for three months on the lees and another two months in the bottle before being released for sale. The result is an elegant and refined wine, with the typical character of great Piedmontese whites and a bright straw-yellow color. On the nose, it reveals a broad and delicate aromatic profile, with fruity notes of apple and peach blending with floral hints of chamomile, orange blossom, and wildflowers. On the palate, it is fresh and approachable, lively and harmonious, with well-balanced acidity and a delicate fruitiness. The finish is long and recalls light, bitterish notes. Try it with vitello tonnato, quiche Lorraine, or seafood risotto.
