Gergenti Organic Frappato Terre Siciliane IGT is a vibrant expression of Sicily’s native Frappato grape, crafted from organically grown vineyards that capture the island’s warm Mediterranean character. Production The grapes are hand-picked in early August and undergo a short maceration on the skins for six days to extract colour and delicate tannins. Malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve freshness and purity of fruit. The wine is then aged briefly in bottle to enhance harmony and roundness. Tasting notes Brilliant ruby red in colour, this Frappato reveals fragrant aromas of red berries, blueberries, and wild strawberries. The palate is medium-bodied and silky, with a smooth, harmonious texture and a lively freshness that lingers pleasantly.
