Distilled in March 2012, this lightly peated 11-year-old single malt is a member of Glen Moray's Warehouse 1 collection. Initially matured in bourbon casks, the whisky was finished in a selection of Rioja red wine casks, which impart splendid notes of sweet dark fruits accompanied by hints of distant peat smoke. Bottled at cask strength in August 2023, it possesses an aroma of sweet plum jam and cooked berries, with gentle bonfire smoke wafting in the background. The palate reveals more rich, fruity plum character, cherry chocolate, roasted nuts, and vinous oak, all underscored by elegant peat smoke. The aftertaste lingers with sweet smoke, stewed dark fruits, and a touch of pepper.
