Louis Roederer Brut Vintage 2016 is a Grand Cru Champagne of exceptional refinement from one of the Champagne region's most celebrated and historic houses, founded in 1776 and currently managed by Frederic Rouzaud. A blend of Pinot Noir from the Grand Cru of Verzy and Chardonnay from the Grand Cru of Chouilly, this is a vintage Champagne of real complexity, precision and elegance. Why You'll Love It Louis Roederer is one of the few remaining family-owned Champagne houses, and its commitment to quality is unmatched. With over 240 hectares of Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, the house is self-sufficient for 70% of its non-vintage production and 100% of its vintage Champagnes, a rare distinction that gives them complete control over quality from vine to bottle. A pioneer in sustainable viticulture, Roederer employs organic and regenerative practices across its vineyards, working in harmony with nature to express the finest terroir in Champagne. The 2016 vintage is a singular tribute to the Grand Cru of Verzy, producing wines of intense fruit character, silky texture and remarkable precision. The 2016 growing season brought a cool, wet spring followed by a warm, dry summer with a late August heatwave, favouring the Pinot Noir with intense fruit and silky texture, while the Chardonnay achieved a chiselled, saline profile. Tasting Notes Gently toasted, powdery aromas on the nose, blending ripe red fruits, Burlat cherry and redcurrant, candied citrus and roasted hazelnuts. Subtle mineral notes of sun-warmed chalk and calcareous millstone emerge with aeration. The palate is complex and generous, with a juicy, creamy body layered with ne
