Founded in 1917 in Amarante and now in its third generation, Calcada Wines has been crafting still and sparkling whites from the Vinho Verde DOC for over a century. Patusco is their approachable, everyday expression, vibrant, citrus-driven, and effortlessly refreshing. Vineyard & Production Sourced from vineyards in the Amarante sub-region of the Vinho Verde DOC, where the Atlantic-influenced climate and granite soils produce grapes of natural freshness and aromatic intensity. The selected grapes are destemmed and pressed, with the juice decanted by gravity before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The wine is stabilised and filtered before bottling to preserve its clean, vibrant character. Tasting Notes Citrus yellow in colour with greenish hints. The nose is fruity and fresh with intense citric notes. On the palate, it is slightly petillant, fresh, and balanced with a lively acidity and a clean, refreshing finish. Best served well chilled.
