The 2022 Silent Noise S.G.Z. was shaped by a vintage in McLaren Vale marked by a wet winter followed by a mild spring and summer, providing ideal ripening conditions from fruit set through veraison to harvest. The vintage allowed the grapes to develop perfect sugar ripeness while retaining natural acidity and a fine-textured structure. Winemaking This wine is a carefully crafted blend of three McLaren Vale varieties: Shiraz, Grenache, and Zinfandel. The final composition—40% Shiraz, 20% Grenache, and 40% Zinfandel—was determined with careful consideration of the contribution each variety brings to the overall balance and complexity of the blend. Each parcel was selected to ensure harmony, depth, and expressive character. Tasting Notes The wine has a deep purple hue and an alluring bouquet of blackcurrants, preserved cherries, plums, dark red roses, and subtle milk chocolate notes. On the palate, layers of blueberries and blackberries are joined by distinctive hints of juniper, while milk chocolate and a gloss of T2 Rose Tea add complexity. The wine finishes with silky, fine, and delicate tannins, leaving a lingering, elegant impression. Food Pairing Perfect with roasted or grilled red meats, game dishes, or rich pasta preparations.
