Drink it now or cellar for up to 30 years. It is recommended to decant it for 1 hour. The Siro Pacenti family business was founded in 1970 and has been active with its label since 1988. Today it is managed by Siro's son, Giancarlo Pacenti who cultivates about 60 hectares of land, of which about 22 are vineyards. The vineyards, divided into 7 plots, are located on two opposite slopes. Brunello di Montalcino Pelagrilli by Siro Pacenti is a balanced and elegant wine. The Sangiovese Grosso grapes, grown according to sustainable agriculture, are selected from vineyards aged between 25 and 35 years, located on the northern side of the Montalcino denomination. After fermentation, the finished wine rests in French oak barriques for 24 months and then in the bottle. The wine has an intense and brilliant ruby red color, with slight nuances tending towards garnet. On the nose, it reveals an intense, broad, and complex aromatic profile, with notes of undergrowth and red berries, juicy cherry, and violet, followed by hints of fragrant herbs, tobacco, and leather. On the palate, it is full-bodied and soft while maintaining a good acidic vein that gives freshness and balances the taste. The tannins are firm and well-integrated. It has a well-balanced structure and a savory finish. It is the ideal wine to pair with red meat or game stews.
