The Clos de la Cure, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru is a classy, full-bodied Bordeaux from one of Saint-Émilion’s respected estates. Elegant and structured, it shows blackcurrant, dark cherry, and subtle cedar aromas, with a rich palate and fine, mouth-coating tannins. Meet the Producer Domaines Bouyer comprises two top Bordeaux estates covering 18 hectares in Saint-Émilion. The estates are renowned for careful vineyard management and traditional winemaking techniques, producing refined wines that balance power, elegance, and ageing potential. Production Vines are located on the Saint Christophe des Bardes plateau and the Saint Etienne de Lisse plateau, with clay topsoil over limestone subsoil. The vineyard spans 7.5 hectares, with vines aged 25–30 years and a density of 6,600–9,000 vines per hectare. Grapes are harvested by hand and machine, yielding 35–40 hl/ha. Vinification includes cold soaking, temperature-controlled fermentation with punching down, and 3–4 weeks post-fermentation maceration. The wine is aged 12–15 months in barrel (50% new oak). Cellar potential is 10–15 years. Tasting Notes Plush yet lifted aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and subtle cedar, with a hint of creaminess. The palate is rich and full-bodied, showing layered fruit, fine tannins, and well-integrated oak for a structured and elegant finish.
