Lustau East India Cream Sherry is a luxurious blend of Palomino and Pedro Ximénez grapes, showcasing a deep dark mahogany colour with a green-amber edge. On the nose, it reveals vibrant aromas of maple syrup, brown sugar, raisins, chocolate-coated nuts, and subtle notes of shoe polish, all seamlessly integrated. The palate is rich and smooth, opening with flavours of prune and burnt orange peel, evolving into intriguing spicy hints before giving way to a delicate nuttiness. A bright acidity cuts through the sweetness, creating a lively and memorable finish. Winemaking and Ageing The Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez components are matured separately in their own soleras for 12 years. Once blended, the wine is returned to a 45-cask solera for an additional three years of ageing. This traditional method mirrors the historic journey of sherries that once crossed oceans to the Indies, developing remarkable complexity and silkiness. The average age of the wine is 15 years. Alcohol 20% Profile Sweet, rich, and layered with complexity. Food Pairing Ideal with light desserts and cakes, creamy cheeses, or foie gras. It can also be enjoyed on the rocks with a slice of orange for a refreshing twist.
