Marimar Estate Acero is a crisp, unoaked Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley in California , crafted to highlight the purity and intensity of its fruit. Named after the Spanish word for steel, this white wine is fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel, allowing the natural aromatics and vibrant flavours of the grapes to shine without the influence of oak. The Acero Chardonnay is the purest expression of this philosophy, stripping away oak to reveal the true character of the Don Miguel Vineyard fruit. For lovers of Chablis or unoaked Burgundy, this is a California Chardonnay that will genuinely surprise and delight. Vineyard & Production Grapes come from the Don Miguel Vineyard, named after the late patriarch of the Torres family, situated in the Green Valley just ten miles from the Pacific Ocean. The vineyard benefits from cool, foggy mornings and a long growing season, with high-density planting of over 2,000 vines per acre ensuring low yields, excellent concentration, and superb balance. Grapes are gently whole-cluster pressed and cold fermented in stainless steel tanks, remaining in steel until bottling to preserve the wine's natural freshness and vibrancy. Tasting Notes Fresh, floral aromas of white flowers and apple blossom on the nose, with hints of citrus and stone fruits. On the palate, it is lively and savoury, with crisp acidity and a refreshing minerality reminiscent of wet pebbles. Best served chilled at around 8 to 9 degrees.
