Located in Meursault in the venerated Burgundy wine region, Domaine Remi Jobard is a small family estate spanning approximately 8 hectares of vineyards, including some high-altitude plots in Meursault and several 1er cru parcels. The estate has been certified organic since 2011. The Chardonnay grapes come from a small parcel of less than half a hectare adjacent to the 1er Cru Gouttes d'Or. Here, the vines, over 30 years old, are grown according to organic farming standards and rooted in chalk-rich soil. After harvest, fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts. The finished wine rests half in barrique and half in foudre before aging for 6 months in stainless steel and bottling. In the glass, Remi Jobard Meursault En Luraule reveals a yellow color with greenish highlights. Its aromatic profile is broad and fragrant, with fruity notes of citrus and plums, white flowers, and a few vegetal nuances. On the palate, it is fresh and concentrated, juicy and lively, with a refreshing acidity and a long finish with light saline and mineral notes. It is very versatile when paired with food: it goes well with Dover sole and swordfish, mac & cheese, and roast chicken with Provençal herbs.
