Santiago Ruiz O Rosal is a refined and aromatic white wine from the O Rosal sub-region of Rías Baixas in Galicia, Spain , crafted from a complex blend of Albariño , Loureiro, Caíño Blanco, Godello , and Treixadura. Showcasing aromatic complexity, fresh fruit character, and a distinctive stony minerality, it is one of the most characterful and complete expressions of Galician white wine available. Why You'll Love It The Ruiz family has been producing wines in Galicia since the 1860s. Santiago Ruiz continues the pioneering spirit of his grandfather Ángel Ruiz, who was among the first to bottle wines in the region and introduced modern winemaking practices including stainless steel tanks. Today, head winemaker Luísa Freire focuses on producing expressive, clean wines that highlight the unique sense of place of O Rosal. The five-variety blend is the hallmark of this wine, weaving together the aromatic lift of Albariño and Loureiro with the structure of Caíño Blanco and the depth of Godello and Treixadura to create something genuinely greater than the sum of its parts. Vineyard & Production Grapes are sourced from 38 hectares of sustainably farmed vineyards in Tomiño, the southernmost sub-region of Rías Baixas, where cooling Atlantic breezes, the moderating influence of the Miño River, and sandy soils over granite bedrock contribute aromatic richness and characteristic wet-stone minerality. Harvested by hand in 20kg crates with careful sorting on arrival, each variety undergoes cryo-maceration and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by a short period on lees before careful blending to produce the final wine. Tasting Notes Bright yellow in the glass. The nose reveals vivid floral aromas, lime, crisp apple, and subtle herbal nuances. On the palate, it is complex yet elegant, with fresh fruit flavours complemented by stony minerality, finishing crisp, clean, and refreshing. Perfect Pairings Perfect with seafood, grilled fish, fresh salads,
