Cellar for 4-5 years. No need to decant it. Sea Sun wines are produced by Charlie Wagner, whose family has a long winemaking tradition. His ancestors arrived in California in the mid-1850s, from the wine regions of Alsace in France and Rheinpfalz in Germany, and started to grow their own grapes. And in 1972, his father and grandparents founded Caymus Vineyards, one of the oldest operating wineries in Napa Valley. The grapes come from vineyards in the coastal counties of Santa Barbara, Monterey, San Luis Obispo and Solano, where the cool ocean breezes and a prolonged ripening season lead to greater complexity in the wine. The subtle differences between the pedoclimatic characteristics of the various regions result in an interesting variety of aromas and flavors. This elegant Californian wine is characterized by the varietal fruitiness of the Chardonnay, with perfectly integrated acidity and delicate oak tones. On the nose, ripe pears meet delicious apples and mango with hints of buttery and toasted caramel that transport pleasantly throughout the medium body with a round and creamy mouth sensation. Smooth and ready to drink now. Try it with baked trout, butter poached fish dishes, roast chicken, or turkey.
