Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. No need to decant. Founded in 2004 by David Clouston, New Zealand winery Two Rivers takes its name from the two iconic rivers of the Marlborough wine region: the Wairau and the Awatere. After years of experience as a winemaker abroad, David decided to return to his roots and launch his project. Today, the winery produces acclaimed Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir wines as well as an extraordinary rosé, considered one of the country's best. This splendid Riesling perfectly expresses David's attention to vineyard selection. The grapes come from the Brookby Hill and Jomara vineyards in the Southern Valleys, characterized by clay and loess soils where Riesling thrives. The wine is made in a semi-dry style, with a residual sugar content of just over 17g. Two Rivers Juliet Riesling is an elegant and seductive white wine with an aromatic character. The nose unfolds a bouquet of citrus, white flowers such as orange blossom, honeysuckle, jasmine, and hazelnut. On the palate, it is harmonious and juicy, with a crisp acidity (typical of the grape variety) that refreshes the palate and balances the wine's delicate sweetness. It is a vibrant wine with a long, thirst-quenching finish. It is perfect on its own as an aperitif, but also pairs well with a variety of spicy Thai and Vietnamese dishes, as well as curries.
