Undurraga Terroir Hunter Chardonnay is a refined coastal Chilean wine, offering inviting aromas of butterscotch and chamomile flowers complemented by toasted hazelnut and subtle ginger. Elegant and mineral-driven, it finishes with a saline freshness that beautifully showcases the Limarí Valley terroir. Meet the producer Founded in 1885, Undurraga is one of Chile’s most prestigious wineries, recognised globally for its terroir-driven wines. The estate spans 1,350 hectares across top Chilean wine regions, including Leyda, Cauquenes, and Itata. Certified by Sustainable Wines of Chile, Undurraga combines traditional winemaking with a philosophy of minimal intervention, letting the vineyard’s natural expression shine. Head winemaker Rafael Urrejola, awarded ‘Red Winemaker of the Year 2023’ by the International Wine Challenge, leads the iconic Terroir Hunter range. After gentle pressing and cold stabilisation, fermentation occurs in a combination of egg-shaped concrete tanks and large Burgundian oak barrels (16% new) using natural yeasts at 15–17°C. The wine is aged on lees for 10 months with regular bâtonnage, imparting weight, texture, and depth. Tasting notes Fresh aromas of chamomile flowers, lemon, melon, and pear are layered with toasted hazelnut and subtle oak spice. Smooth and creamy on the palate, it balances rich texture with coastal freshness, fin
