Chartron et Trebuchet Cremant de Bourgogne is an elegant, traditionally made sparkling wine from the heart of Burgundy. Crafted from Chardonnay using the traditional method, it delivers the finesse and freshness of Burgundy in a beautifully refined fizz at a fraction of the price of Champagne. Made using the same labour-intensive traditional method as Champagne, with a minimum of 12 months ageing on the lees, this is a sparkling wine of genuine quality and character. Vineyard & Production The base wines are sourced from carefully selected vineyards across the Cotes de Nuits, Cotes de Beaune, and Cote Chalonnaise, where limestone and marl soils lend natural minerality and precision to the fruit. Grapes are pressed immediately on arrival at the winery, fermented in stainless steel at 18 degrees, then bottled for a second fermentation and aged for 12 months sur latte before disgorgement. The result is a wine of real delicacy and depth. Tasting Notes Golden yellow in colour with fine, persistent bubbles and a lasting foam. The nose offers white flowers, hazelnut, and a delicate note of peach. On the palate, great freshness with floral aromas, fine and elegant bubbles, and a long, beautifully aromatic finish.
