A much anticipated first, as they give their light and fruity signature whisky a subtle sweet smokiness by finishing in peated casks. Primarily matured in first-fill bourbon casks laid down in the spring and summer of 2017 before a secondary maturation in peated casks tying together the Yorkshire coast with the West coast of Scotland making this release very different from all their previous releases. How smoky is this release? The Peated Finish is all about balance; soft and sweet with a gentle twist of smoke making this Filey Bay release perfect for any whisky fan whatever their preference. Light, sweet and coastal with flavours of vanilla, caramel, subtle peat smoke and citrus.
