Drink it now or cellar for up to 8 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Jeremy Recchione is a young and promising French winemaker from Burgundy who started producing his wines in 2013, initially buying grapes from several vintners. In 2019, he acquired his first vineyard (Les Cerisiers in Messanges) located in the Hautes-Côtes-de-Nuits, continuing his personal project. The company, which today owns properties in Gevrey, Saint Romain, Meursault, and Fizin, is based in Gevrey Chambertin. Jeremy applies artisanal methodologies, working the vines in the healthiest way possible, with total respect for nature, and practicing manual harvests. Even in the cellar, he favors a natural approach: he prefers to ferment with indigenous yeasts and the use of sulfur is reduced to a minimum. This fresh and youthful Pinot Noir reveals a fragrant aromatic profile with notes of blueberry, berries, and flowers, followed by hints of cinnamon and licorice and earthy nuances. On the palate, it has a light to medium body. It is soft, fresh, and juicy with a lively and well-integrated acidity and a long fruity finish. It is a very approachable wine that lends itself well to food pairings. Try it with tomato tarte tatin or some Vietnamese beef dishes.
