Kaapzicht Bottelary Hills Estate Blend is a rich and inviting red blend from Stellenbosch, combining Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. Deep purple in colour, with youthful aromas of sweet perfume, wild dark berries, sweet spice, and musk. The palate is lush, supple, and juicy, with bold red fruit, kirsch, and sour cherry, framed by fresh acidity, integrated oak, and soft tannins. A beautifully crafted Cape blend that showcases the quality of Stellenbosch terroir. Why You'll Love It This is a classic Cape blend from Kaapzicht, a respected family estate in Stellenbosch's Bottelary Hills. The six-grape blend combines the best of Bordeaux varieties with Shiraz, creating a wine with exceptional complexity and balance. With 18 months in French oak and fruit from historic vineyards used as an outpost during the 1600s, this wine offers outstanding quality and character at an exceptional price point. Meet the Producer Kaapzicht is a family-owned estate in Stellenbosch's Bottelary Hills, dedicated to producing quality wines that reflect the unique character of their historic vineyards and the Cape winemaking tradition. Vineyard & Terroir Grapes are sourced from the Bottelary Hills in Stellenbosch, a historic area that was used as an outpost during the 1600s on the trek from Cape Town to Stellenbosch. The terroir produces fruit with concentration and balanced acidity. Winemaking Grapes were destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks with two pump-overs per day for gentle extraction. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was matured for 18 months in French oak to add complexity and integrate the blend. Tasting Notes Inky deep purple in colour with youthful aromas of sweet perfume, wild dark berries, sweet spice, and musk. The palate is lush, supple, and juicy, with bold red fruit, kirsch, and sour cherry, framed by fresh acidity, integrated oak, and soft tannins. A long, harmonious finish. Perfect Pairings Pairs well with roas
