Condes de Albarei La Huida is a benchmark Albariño from the Salnés Valley — the heartland of Rías Baixas and the spiritual home of Spain's finest white grape. Bright, crisp, and beautifully aromatic, this is a wine that captures the essence of Atlantic Galicia: stone fruit, citrus zest, and a subtle floral lift, all underpinned by mouthwatering freshness. Why You'll Love It Founded in 1988 by a group of local growers, Condes de Albarei has spent over three decades perfecting its understanding of Albariño in the Salnés Valley. Sustainable viticulture, careful grape selection, and wild yeast fermentation all contribute to a wine of genuine character and precision. If you love Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, this is the Spanish white that will win you over completely. Vineyard & Production Sourced from pergola-trained Albariño vines grown in the sandy soils of the Salnés Valley. Grapes are hand-harvested into 20kg crates and further sorted at the winery before gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place over approximately 15 days at 16–18°C using wild yeasts, followed by partial malolactic fermentation — also naturally driven — to add texture and roundness. Tasting Notes Fresh and bright, with aromas of stone fruit and orange blossom on the nose. The palate delivers peach, lightly tropical fruit, and tangerine notes, with lively citrus zest and a dry, crisp, mouthwatering finish. A vibrant and expressive Albariño. Perfect Pairings A natural partner for all types of seafood — oysters, grilled fish, prawns, and scallops. Also excellent with grilled vegetable dishes, light salads, and fresh goat's cheese. Or simply enjoy on its own as a refreshing aperitif. The Blend Albariño 100% — Rías Baixas DO, Salnés Valley, Galicia, Spain. Wild yeast fermentation. 75cl bottle.
