Lismore Estate Vineyards Barrel Fermented Sauvignon Blanc 2022 is produced by Lismore Estate Vineyards in the beautiful Cape South Coast region of South Africa. Founded by Californian winemaker Samantha O'Keefe, the estate sits at 300 metres above sea level in the foothills of a dramatic mountain range. The vineyards benefit from cooling winter snow and warm African sunshine, creating ideal conditions for classic cool-climate wines that are rich, complex and carefully handcrafted, expressing the estate’s distinctive terroir. Production This white wine is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes are carefully harvested and barrel fermented to enhance texture, structure and depth of flavour. Maturation in oak barrels adds subtle complexity while preserving freshness and the natural minerality that defines this unique site. Tasting notes This barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc is full-bodied, elegant and beautifully balanced. Aromas of passion flower and fynbos lift from the glass, while the palate offers layers of granadilla, guava, gooseberry and pear, supported by a refined mineral backbone. A true expression of its cool-climate origins and dedicated winemaking. Food match Pairs well with grilled seafood, roast chicken, creamy pasta dishes or soft cheeses. Grape varieties Sauvignon Blanc 100%
