Pesquera from Bodegas Alejandro Fernández is a full-bodied Tempranillo from the prestigious Ribera del Duero region in Castilla y León, Spain. It is rich and hearty, with a rustic character and elegant structure, reflecting the quality and tradition of one of Spain’s most respected producers. Meet the producer Alejandro Fernández built his winemaking legacy following family tradition, starting from small vineyards in Pesquera de Duero. Today, Grupo Pesquera oversees four bodegas, combining traditional methods with meticulous vineyard management to craft expressive, terroir-driven wines. Production The wine is aged for 18 months in American oak barrels, allowing the development of vanilla, liquorice, and subtle spice notes. After barrel ageing, the wine spends an additional six months in bottle before release, ensuring harmony and complexity. Tasting notes Deep crimson with a violet rim, the nose and palate reveal blackberries, raspberries, vanilla, and hints of liquorice. The wine is full-flavoured and structured, with a lingering finish. Decanting for 30 minutes is recommended to allow the wine to open fully. Food match Pairs perfectly with game birds, Iberian ham, roasted meats, and hearty stews. Grape Tempranillo 100%
