Attis Albariño is a refined white wine from Galicia, Spain, grown on the granite-rich soils of the Rías Baixas region. This medium-bodied, lightly oaked Albariño is dry, elegant, and aromatic, showing both classic coastal freshness and unique maritime influence.
Meet the Producer
Attis was founded in 2000 by the Farina family, who manage 12.3 acres of Albariño vineyards ranging from 5 to 50 years old. Robustiano Farina, together with his sons Baldomero and Robustiano Jr., oversees viticulture, winemaking, and business operations. In 2011, they invested in a modern winery and began implementing ecological vineyard practices and spontaneous fermentations, including innovative ageing under the sea to preserve freshness and enhance complexity.
Production
The grapes are hand-harvested and lightly oaked. Fermentation occurs with native yeasts, and the wine is aged on lees to enhance texture and body. The undersea ageing method minimizes oxidation, retains freshness, and allows for long-term potential.
Tasting Notes
Straw-yellow in colour, the nose offers grapefruit, stone fruit, and subtle creamy notes. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and textured, with bright acidity, layered fruit, a hint of butteriness, and a saline, mineral finish. Food match Pairs beautifully with prawns, scallops, shellfish, lobster, mussels, leafy green herbs, and can also accompany white meats or be enjoyed as a digestif. Serve chilled at 8–10°C. Grape Albariño 100% Awards and Press Comments Decanter: Highly Recommended – “Fresh, textured and complex with elegant saline minerality, perfect for seafood.” Wine Enthusiast: 91 points – “A coastal Albariño with bright citrus and stone fruit, enhanced by unique undersea ageing.”
