Aberlour A’Bunadh Alba is a cask-strength Speyside single malt matured exclusively in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, offering a sweet, creamy profile with vibrant fruit and vanilla notes. Unlike its sherry-matured sibling A’Bunadh, Alba (named after the white oak species Quercus Alba) showcases a different side of Aberlour’s character. Bottled at natural cask strength—typically around 58–63% ABV—it is non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, preserving its full texture and intensity. The nose opens with ripe red apples, honey, vanilla and a hint of cinnamon, creating a warm and inviting aroma. On the palate, it delivers citrusy brightness, baked apples and a touch of almonds, with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel that balances its strength. The finish is sweet and lingering, with traces of toasted almonds and soft spice that fade gently. Bunnahabhain Abhainn Araig Single Malt Whisky 50.80%
Meaning 'Araig River' in Scots Gaelic, this velvety rich dram is inspired by the waters of Islay. Created to celebrate Fèis Ìle 2022, this whisky has been matured in ex-Bourbon and PX sherry octave casks to create an unpeated, sherried, bold and complex dram. The nose has aromas of chocolate, powdered ginger and cigar box. The palate has a velvety rich texture, initially creamy milk chocolate then sweet raisins and dried raspberries. As the PX develops balsamic vinegar and honeyed macadamias come through. The finish is deep and rich, with dark toffee and a final spicy burst of cinnamon.
