ADN DE MEUNIER Extra Brut Champagne Christophe Mignon 2016
The 2016 Brut Nature Blanc de Noirs ADN de Meunier marries the textural intensity of Meunier with striking, laser-like energy that cuts straight through the mid-palate and into the finish. Saline and focused, with bright acids, the 2016 is one of the most complete and deeply satisfying Champagnes I have tasted from this vintage so far. Crushed rocks, sage, mint, dried flowers and ginger lead into the sculpted finish. Brilliant. Disgorged: July 13, 2021.
Pol Roger Vintage 2018
The 2018 Vintage from Champagne Pol Roger is made from the traditional house vintage blend of 60% pinot noir and 40% chardonnay from 20 Grand and Premier Cru vineyard sites on the Montagne de Reims and the Cote de Blancs. Pale yellow in colour and still looking youthful. It is weighty on the nose with stone fruit that evoke richness and intensity alongside enticing elements of yeast contact. There is an abundance of complexity and body on the palate with fine length and proper acidity. This is worthy to successors of 1988, 1998 and 2008!
