Akashi Japanese Single Malt 50cl
This single malt from Akashi is made from 100% Scottish barley, aged in bourbon and sherry casks for 3 years. Producing a whisky with a powerful nose of vanilla and smoke. The palate is round and long with notes of leather and red apples. The White Oak distillery was the first in Japan to be granted an official license to distill whisky in 1919. They import all their barley from Scotland and have become masters of emulating the Scottish style.
Hatozaki 12 Year Old Umeshu Cask Finish
This craft whisky is a blend comprising of premium small batch single malts of at least 5 to 6 years old. The blend is further aged for 12 years in American oak casks before it is then finished in barrels that previously held the superior Umeshu liqueur for 6 months.
