Angostura 1824, a rum of fine distinction and a symbol of superb quality and success, celebrates the legacy of the Company which was founded in 1824 by Dr. Johann G.B. Siegert, creator of the world’s finest bitters – Angostura aromatic bitters. Exquisitely smooth and delightfully aromatic, Angostura 1824 is blended from the finest mature rums, hand-picked by our Master Blender from selected casks. It is aged in charred American oak bourbon barrels and then skillfully hand-blended and recasked. A rum of distinction and complexity, for the discerning connoisseur who enjoys the taste of history. The nose is a rich bouquet of sweet molasses, cocoa and toffee with top notes of tropical fruit. The palate is well-rounded, a medium-bodied palate with hints of chocolate, orange, spices and fruity nuances.
