Sierra Grande Merlot 2024

A juicy and fresh Chilean Merlot, offering plummy, soft red fruit balanced with subtle spice and gentle tannins. Meet the producer Our winemaking team has been building long-standing relationships with growers across Chile for over two decades, sourcing fruit to create entry-level wines with character, style, and approachability. Production This Merlot is a blend from two family-owned vineyards in Curicó. The Martin Family’s vines lie high in the Andes at 500 m above sea level, benefiting from cool mountain evenings, rocky soils, and a long growing season, producing crunchy plummy fruit. The El Milagro Estate, located in the central Curicó valley, contributes ripe, fuller fruit with softer tannins. Grapes are hand-harvested at the coolest part of the day and vinified with minimal intervention and no oak, preserving freshness and natural fruit character. The combination of high and low altitude fruit allows balance across vintages. Tasting notes Aromas of plums and cherries with hints of peppery spice and tobacco leaf. The palate is juicy and fresh, featuring soft red fruits and a touch of green pepper. Easy-drinking, approachable, and balanced. Food match Pairs beautifully with a juicy steak, savoury lamb casseroles, herby sausages, or a char-grilled vegetable lasagne.
