Auvigue Le Clos, Pouilly-Fuissé 2022
The grapes used for this beautiful white wine comes from 45-year-old vines. This south-facing plot produces a wine of extraordinary intensity, which is aged for one year in oak to give it a creamy texture and complexity.
Montagny 'Les Thilles', Domaine Philippe Colin 2022
Each of Philippe's wines clearly express their terroirs and Colin treats each plot differently. Two-thirds of his 13 hectares are white, the other one-third red. Philippe uses minimal chemical intervention, relatively low new oak (20-25%) and just a bit of lees stirring during elevage. His Burgundies are seamless – his understanding of expressing terroir is masterful.
