Auxey-Duresses Premier Cru Rouge, Domaine Comte Armand 2022
The appellation’s grandest domaine, Comte Armand has been overseen by winemaker Paul Zinetti since 2014. The domaine features as one of the Top 10 Côte de Beaune Red Wine Producers in Tim Atkin's Burgundy 2022 Special Report. From two of the best parcels in the village: Les Breterins, on the steep part of the slope, with well-drained chalky soils, and ‘Les Duresses’, from a dip in the valley with deeper clay soils.
Chambolle-Musigny, Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut 2021
Anne and Hervé Sigaut kindly postponed relaxing in to the weekend to host us for a tasting at 6.30pm on a Friday. And we are very glad they did. From the village wine right up to the senior crus, the domaine has managed to capture Chambolle’s signature florality and sensuousness. The grapes are biodynamically farmed, 100% destemmed, and the wines unfiltered and unfined.
