Balvenie Portwood 21 Year Old Single Malt

To create The Balvenie PortWood Aged 21 Years, a marriage of rare Balvenie is transferred to port casks, or pipes, which have held fine port wines. Here it is sampled regularly by The Balvenie Malt Master to ensure that just the right amount of character is imparted by the port casks, enhancing and developing the single malt whilst preserving its original characteristics. NOSE A perfume of fruity and ripe raisin notes, backed by a nutty dryness. TASTE Refined with remarkable character, it is creamy and silky with fruit, honey and spice notes. FINISH Long, gentle, nutty Limited to 1 per customer only. Buy The Balvenie Distillery whiskies here.

EOM Bruichladdich 19 Year Old Chateau dYquem Cask Single Malt Islay Whisky

End Of Message whiskies are a pair of casks purchased by an adoring father for his two children. This 19 Year Old Single Malt is the 'brother cask' of the pair, cask number 525. Distilled at Bruichladdich 15.07.2002 and aged exclusively in one of the finest Premier Grand Cru Sauternes casks from Chateau d'Yquem. We believe these two sibling casks are the oldest full term maturation in Chateau d'Yquem of their kind. Others brought to market have been cask finishes or bottled at half the age. Tasting Notes from Colin Dunn - Whisky Ambassador: "The “Auld Alliance” between the two countries shows that in the right hands of a progressive Distillery, perfection can be achieved." Nose: A dusty smouldering sweet melting pot of mature fruit with lemon and banana notes Palate: The fruit salad sweetness continues, then comes on strong with bags of liqueur richness and hints of brine and black pepper. Finish: Dries out beautifully, with the 19 years in French oak giving up a lengthy richness that coats the mouth with a liqueur like finish. Explodes in the mouth showing it’s Islay roots, the peat leaving it’s calling card. This bottle is being sold by a client who has appointed Constantine Stores Ltd, Drink Finder to act as their agent.
