BEAUNE 1er Cru Clos des Mouches Domaine Joseph Drouhin 2020
This elegant version is packed with ripe black cherry, plum, sandalwood, cedar and spice flavors. Its beam of acidity keeps everything focused as mineral and leafy vegetal notes emerge. Shows fine balance, with a lingering aftertaste of fruit, licorice and spice.
CHAMBOLLE MUSIGNY Orveaux des Bussières Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot 2018
The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes contains around 40% declassified fruit from La Combe d’Orveau this year. It has plenty of brambly red fruit on the nose, and strong crushed stone scents emerge with time. The palate is medium-bodied with clean, precise tannins, very well-judged acidity and a harmonious, silky-smooth finish that does not outstay its welcome. Enjoy this over the next decade.
