BEAUNE 1er Cru Grèves Domaine Joseph Drouhin 2020
The 2020 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru was quite closed on the nose which made it difficult to read. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly grainy tannins. Good weight, darker fruit than other cuvées, the 20% whole cluster imparting spicy/peppery notes on the finish. Excellent. This is a sense of classicism that I admire here.

A stunning Pinot from Sonoma with great complexity and depth of flavour. Herbs red and black fruit mixed with a delicate rose petal note. Very complete with tremndous length.
