Benromach 15 Year Old
This 15 years old Benromach has been aged in a combination or Bourbon casks and sherry casks. This results in a complex Speyside dram which is reminiscent of the style pre 1960's. Beautifully balanced with sherry and rich fruit cake, hints of sweet vanilla and honey with a light touch of smoke on the finish.
Port Charlotte Heavily Peated Islay Barley 2014 50%
Bruichladdich's Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2014 celebrates Islay with a single malt whisky crafted entirely from barley grown on the island. This malt, not just flavourful but evocative of place, showcases the delicate balance for which Port Charlotte is renowned – fruit and smoke. The nose opens with malty notes reminiscent of digestive biscuits and dying embers, followed by a sweet wave of vanilla, honey, toffee, and crème brûlée. As it breathes, fruity tones emerge – lemon rind intertwined with peat smoke, leading to grapefruit, ripe melon, peach, and crisp red apple. The signature Port Charlotte maritime note mingles with wood spice, nutmeg, and cinnamon, creating a complex and deeply satisfying single malt experience.
