Berry Bros & Rudd 1990 Miltonduff Cask No. 3809 33 Year Old 54.1%

This elegant Speyside dram gently rises from the glass with soft notes of coconut, warm malt loaf and stewed, spiced apples. A little time in the glass brings out candied pecans and peach skin. The palate is wonderfully fresh and vibrant with spice, soft fruit, citrus and honey. There is a perfect balance of subtle oak and fresh, peachdriven distillate. Once again, we are reminded there is no substitute for long maturation in a delicate refill cask. Miltonduff Distillery was built in 1824, south of Elgin in the Glen of Pluscarden. In 1964, two Lomond stills were added, producing a different style of whisky which was known as Mosstowie. These were removed in 1981.

Glenfarclas 24 Year Old Millennium Decanter

The Glenfarclas Millennium Decanter is a rare 24 year old Single Sherry Butt whisky. It was the 12th cask filled on New Year’s Day 2000, a unique practice by the Grant family. This follows on from the first release in the series which was the Glenfarclas 25 Year Old Crystal Decanter 70cl and the second which was the Glenfarclas 20 Year Old Port Pipe Decanter 70cl.
