Berry Bros & Rudd 2005 Strathclyde Cask No. 106490 18 Year Old 56.5%

Strathclyde Grain Distillery is located in Glasgow, on the south side of the River Clyde. This area is far from the picturesque image of Highland distilleries, although it has played a vital part in Scotch whisky heritage since 1927. The nose is initially reticent but some time in the glass brings out subtle banana bread, coconut milk and peach. The palate, conversely, is a crescendo of rich vanilla, cream soda, desiccated coconut and dark chocolate. It is incredibly powerful and integrates well with the high alcohol. The finish brings tingling spice and more subtle vanilla. Grain whisky really hits its stride at around 18 years and this is a prime example.

Berry Bros & Rudd Speyside Traditional Cask 16 Year Old Single Malt Whisky

A true classic. Distilled in Speyside, this spirit was selected for its nutty and fruity style, making it the perfect match for long maturation in the finest traditional whisky casks. After 16 years of maturation several casks have come together to create this beauty. Expect notes of warm bread, orange, creme brulee, hazelnuts and cinnamon.
