This single cask from Speyside's Dailuaine leaps out of the glass, offering notes of waxy honeycomb, fruit salad chews and a pleasant floral touch. The palate continues this theme with added vibrant green fruit - Granny Smith apples and pear drops with dried barley and cigar paper.

This subtle Highlander initially offers charming aromas of malted barley and austere green fruits, as is often the way however a little time in the glass allows this whisky to open up and notes of manuka honey, lemon oil and cedar appear. The distillate’s fruity character dominates the palate bringing orange, underripe peach, green wine gums and honeyed toast. The finish shows waves of wood spice and a touch of vanilla. Macduff Distillery, located in Macduff town, sits on the shore of the Deveron Estuary. The town’s harbour became home to herring fleets, the mainstay of the town’s economy. The distillery is relatively modern, having being built in 1960.
