Boekenhoutskloof The Goldmine White 2024

Boekenhoutskloof The Goldmine White is a poised and expressive Cape white blend from one of South Africa's most celebrated producers the team behind the iconic Chocolate Block. Drawing fruit from select vineyard sites across the Western Cape, this inaugural vintage blends Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillon, and Viognier into a wine of real luminosity, mineral edge, and quietly luxurious depth. Why You'll Love It Boekenhoutskloof needs little introduction their Chocolate Block has become one of South Africa's most sought-after reds, and The Goldmine White brings the same level of ambition and craft to a white blend. Each variety is vinified separately and aged in a thoughtful mix of French oak, concrete, and amphorae to balance richness with purity. The result is a wine that rewards attention and improves with every sip. A landmark release for the Cape. Vineyard & Production Fruit is sourced from select sites across the Western Cape, with each grape variety handled independently and fermentation tailored to its individual profile. Oak ageing is applied selectively to build structure and complexity, while concrete and amphorae contribute freshness and mouthfeel. The final blend is assembled to harmonise vibrancy with layered richness. Best served at 10–12°C. Tasting Notes Bright straw-yellow with golden highlights. The nose is fresh and intricate quince, poached pear, and nectarine, alongside bruised apple, chamomile, and a whisper of baking spice. On the palate, ripe stone fruit and citrus are framed by textured Semillon, lifted Chenin Blanc, and floral Viognier. The finish is long, seamless, and quietly luxurious, with a pithy, slightly saline mouthfeel and hints of ginger and cinnamon. Perfect Pairings Excellent with grilled sea bass, roast chicken with lemon and herbs, creamy mushroom pasta, and soft cheeses. A natural choice for elegant dinners and special occasions. The Blend Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillon, Viognier
