A discreet application of wood can be found on the essence of poached pear, floral and citrus confit-scented nose. There is better energy, if not the same richness or density as the aligoté, to the delicious medium weight flavors that retain good delineation on the clean, dry and balanced finale. This is quite good for its level and worth considering.

(L51149) Light gold with a frothy mousse Smoky, truffle-laced orange and pear aromas, with hints of white pepper and sweet butter; nicely complex for a non-vintage brut bottling. Medium in weight, with a chewy texture and fresh, tangy apple and pear flavors. Finishes clean and spicy, with good lift from vibrant acidity.
