BOURGOGNE CÔTE D'OR BLANC BOURGOGNE CÔTE D'OR Blanc Vieilles Vignes Domaine Rémi Jobard 2023
A slightly riper nose reflects notes of poached pear, citrus rind and petrol. Like the Buzigny, there is acceptable verve to the delicious, if not especially dense, flavors that lack the same detail and vibrancy on the bitter citrus-inflected finish that isn’t quite as dry. This too should drink well young.
PALEO Rosso Le Macchiole 2017
The nose is initially shy but eventually reveals aromas suggesting leather, cedar, Mediterranean brush and espresso. The firm, full-bodied palate shows the heat of the vintage, offering dried blackberry, roasted coffee bean, licorice and grilled sage while compact, close-grained tannins grip the finish.
