Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Bachelet-Monnot (Magnum) 2023
A pretty, pale red, they look for freshness not tannins for this cuvee. Attractively floral with soft red fruit, very Pinot. Sweet on the palate with a note of menthol, wild strawberries and some structure. A lovely juicy style.
CONDRIEU Chérytage Domaine Rémi Niero 2021
The 2021 Condrieu Chérytage is a similar light gold and has a beautiful perfume of tart apricot, quince, honeyed flowers, and a touch of sappy herbs. Medium-bodied, pure, and balanced, it's another impeccably made Condrieu from this team with tons of character. It's going to benefit from 6-12 months of bottle age and should keep nicely through 2029.
