Boutinot Argiles Blanches Cairanne Blanc 2023
Domaine Boutinot Argiles Blanches Blanc is a rich, textured, and refined white wine from the Cairanne AOP in the Southern Rhone . Oak-aged and carefully balanced, it showcases vibrant fruit, floral aromatics, and subtle smoky, spicy notes, offering elegance, complexity, and a mineral-driven finish. Why You'll Love It Domaine Boutinot has a long-standing passion for the Southern Rhone, with over thirty years of winemaking in the region. The estate works closely with trusted partner growers, combining traditional techniques and modern precision to craft wines that express the true character of Cairanne's terroir. Argiles Blanches Blanc is the white counterpart to their celebrated reds from the appellation, and it deserves equal attention. Vineyard and Production Hand-harvested Grenache Blanc and Roussanne grapes from partner vineyards in Cairanne, including a Roussanne plot just 200 metres from the winery, are gently pressed and clarified by cold tank. The juice is fermented entirely in 300 to 400 litre oak barrels, a mix of new and four-year-old wood, chosen to enhance texture and natural character rather than impart strong oak flavours. The wine is aged in barrel for six months before filtration and bottling. Tasting Notes Fresh aromas of ripe fruit and delicate floral notes, layered with subtle spice and smokiness from barrel ageing. The palate is plump, mineral-driven, and elegant, with a harmonious balance of fruit, spice, and freshness that lingers on the finish. Perfect Pairings A versatile white, equally at home as an aperitif, with summer salads and lighter fish or chicken dishes, or alongside richer recipes featuring roasted poultry, fish, or fruit-based sauces. Grape Varieties Grenache Blanc, Roussanne
Tabali Talinay Sauvignon Blanc 2024
Tabali Talinay Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is a truly distinctive white wine from one of Chile's most extraordinary terroirs. Sourced from a single coastal vineyard in the Limari Valley , just 12km from the Pacific Ocean, this is Sauvignon Blanc of exceptional freshness, minerality, and precision, unlike anything else from the New World. Why You'll Love It Established in 2002, Vina Tabali is a pioneering estate in the Limari Valley, one of Chile's most exciting and geologically unique wine regions. Working in partnership with Boutinot , Tabali has become a benchmark producer for cool-climate, terroir-driven wines that challenge expectations of what Chilean wine can be. Winemaker Felipe Muller brings meticulous precision to every release, and the Talinay vineyard is his finest canvas. Vineyard and Production The Talinay vineyard sits on an ancient marine terrace just 12km from the Pacific Ocean, where a constant cool sea breeze keeps temperatures significantly lower than the rest of the valley. Maximum summer temperatures reach just 23.5 degrees, allowing harvest two to three weeks later than other coastal areas in Chile. The vineyard is planted in highly porous, fractured limestone soils, a geological phenomenon unique in Chile, which act as a hydric regulator and an extraordinary source of calcium carbonate, lending the wines their signature minerality. Fermentation takes place in small stainless steel tanks at very low temperatures to preserve all the freshness, fruit, and aromatic intensity of the fruit. Vegan and vegetarian friendly. Tasting Notes Intense herbaceous notes and gentle elderflower open the nose. The palate is striking in its precision, with clean flavours of lime, lemon, and nettle, underpinned by a vibrant nerve of acidity and the pure minerality that comes from the limestone soils. A long, focused finish of real distinction. Perfect Pairings A natural partner for ceviche and fresh seafood dishes. Also excellent with grilled fish, oysters, goat's che
