Boutinot Lieux Perdus Rose

Boutinot Lieux Perdus is a delicate yet substantial Pinot Noir rose from the sun-drenched vineyards of the Languedoc . Dry and elegant, with enough body and flavour to keep you coming back glass after glass, this is a rose that evokes the freedom of sun-soaked Mediterranean escapes. Why You'll Love It Boutinot France began as a small importer and has grown into a passionate winemaking group, crafting wines that reflect both region and character. The Lieux Perdus label was inspired by a collaboration with artist Timothy Birch to capture a sense of escapism and free-spirited living. It is a rose with a story, and the wine lives up to it: a Pinot Noir rose from the Languedoc is a rare and characterful thing, and this one delivers on every front. Vineyard and Production Grapes are sourced from vineyards near the Bassin de Thau and the village of Pezenas. The wine is made using the classic rose de presse method combined with white wine vinification techniques. Pinot Noir grapes are gently pressed to extract colour without tannins and fermented at cool temperatures to preserve delicate aromatics and freshness. Bottled under screwcap to maintain its vibrant character. Tasting Notes Pale, pretty pink in the glass, with aromas of fresh strawberries. The palate is creamy with red fruit flavours, balanced by a bright blackcurrant finish that is refreshing and thoroughly moreish. Perfect Pairings Perfect with fresh seafood, light salads, grilled vegetables, and soft cheeses. Ideal for enjoying in the sun with a relaxed Mediterranean spread. Grape Varieties Pinot Noir

Cramele Recas Solara Rose

Solara Rose is a lively, expressive Romanian Pinot Noir rose from Cramele Recas, one of Romania's most celebrated modern wineries. Founded in 1988 and transformed by Philip Cox and his Romanian wife Elvira, Recas combines meticulous vineyard management with modern facilities to produce wines of real character and consistency. Grapes are hand-harvested from three distinct vineyard sites, ensuring careful selection and optimal ripeness. Why You'll Love It This is Dry Rose Wine of genuine vibrancy and freshness. The careful saignee method and low-temperature fermentation preserve the natural fruit character of the Pinot Noir, producing a wine that is crisp, zesty and endlessly refreshing. Organically farmed and offering outstanding quality and value for a hand-harvested Romanian rose. Vineyard and Production. Grapes are hand-harvested from the Dealul Tiganului, Odobesti and Murfatlar vineyards. The fruit is destemmed and lightly crushed, then chilled to 8 degrees for an eight-hour maceration. Twenty percent of the juice from each tank is drained for rose, after which the must is decanted for 24 hours and inoculated with selected yeasts. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, temperature-controlled tanks for four weeks at 12 degrees. To retain a rounded, fresh character, fermentation is halted by cooling to 0 degrees, leaving a residual sugar of 4.5g/l. Tasting Notes. Lively and expressive, with raspberry and floral aromas leading to a palate of crisp strawberry, Gala apple and subtle spice. The finish is zesty and refreshing, making this a vibrant and approachable expression of Romanian Pinot Noir rose. Perfect Pairings. An excellent match for sushi, Thai red curry tiger prawns and summer barbecued swordfish. Also well suited to light salads, grilled fish and Asian-inspired sharing plates. Grape Varieties.
