Bruichladdich Octomore 14.3 5 Year Old Islay Barley

The Bruichladdich Octomore 14.3 has been produced with 100% Islay grown Concerto barley from the 2016 harvest. Then distilled in 2017 with 214.2PPM, aged for 5 years in First fill ex American whiskey casks. On the nose this will transport you to Bruichladdich Distillery courtyard, the aromas of hot, sweet mash are unmistakable. The palate brings delicate oak notes that is followed by smouldering peat, floral hints of gorse and honeysuckle. The finish has malted barley, caramel and vanilla balanced with Octomore's signature earthy peat smoke and a hint of salt spray.

EOM Bruichladdich 16 Year Old Chateau dYquem Cask Single Malt Islay Whisky

End Of Message whiskies are a pair of casks purchased by an adoring father for his two children. This 16 Year Old Single Malt is the 'sister cask' of the pair, cask number 526. Distilled at Bruichladdich 15.07.2002 and aged exclusively in one of the finest Premier Grand Cru Sauternes casks from Chateau d'Yquem. We believe these two sibling casks are the oldest full term maturation in Chateau d'Yquem of their kind. Others brought to market have been cask finishes or bottled at half the age. Tasting Notes from Colin Dunn - Whisky Ambassador: "The “Auld Alliance” between the two countries shows that in the right hands of a progressive Distillery, perfection can be achieved." Nose: Smouldering honey and citrus notes jell together giving up a residual sweetness. Palate: Explodes on the palate with notes of honey, grapes and sweet oak backed up with toasted barley. Finish: The French oak leaves it’s mark, giving extra grip in the mouth that leaves you with a lingering dry spice driven aftertaste. A well-balanced dram with a smoky tail that lingers in the mouth.
