BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO Fuligni 2015
Maturing mid to deep ruby with narrow bricky rim. At first there seems to be a tiny bit of oxidation with tobacco leaf and cut apple, but that lifts with aeration. Quite rich and with impressive depth, but swirling the glass releases a myriad aromas. Supple and suave cherry fruit and much more youthful on the palate with bags of polished tannins.
CÔTE RÔTIE Vires de Serine Domaine Rémi Niero 2020
Black raspberries, red plums, flowery incense, and sandalwood notes all emerge from the 2020 Côte Rôtie Vires De Serine, a medium-bodied, pure, pretty, exotic, and floral Côte Rôtie that has supple tannins and a great finish. It's clearly an outstanding wine, but it's going to need a few years of bottle age.
