Bumbu The Original Rum
Bumbu is an exquisite all-natural craft rum made with native Caribbean ingredients and aged for up to 15 years to create an effortlessly smooth and balanced rum with complexity and depth. The heritage of the production of Bumbu rum dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries, when sailors and merchants of the West Indies added Caribbean fruits and spices to their rum to enhance its flavour. This drink was dubbed with the moniker of Bumbu. Nose: Rich and complex aromas of Madagascar vanilla, soft caramel and toasted oak. Palate: Notes of cinnamon, roasted nuts and allspice, perfectly blended to achieve a mild sweetness. Finish: Light and smooth.
Cape Cornwall Gold Rum
A delicious gold expression from the Cape Cornwall range of rums! A base of aged Caribbean rum has been blended with Cornish water for this one, so there's lots of chocolatey notes among the fresher, grassy flavours. Perfect with ginger beer and the like. In 1925, Harvey’s (one of the founders) great great grandfather was surprised to discover bottles of alcohol mysteriously built into the walls of his farm cottage. Legend has it that to avoid high government taxes, rum and other goods were often smuggled into Cape Cornwall by boat and stored in a farm building known as “the Wink”. They now use that very same building to lovingly age, mix, spice and bottle their specialist rums.
